This task is set to the whole class as a group project. Each of you needs to select an individual and different current issue - political or social – reflecting your own creativity and understanding, the choice is up to you. Using the 1970’s publication ‘Right On!’ or Marshall McLuhan’s the Medium is the Message (1967)** as your inspiration, compose and design (at least) three double-page spreads about the issue you have chosen. The format of your publication is A5 portrait. All designs must be submitted in black and white only. As a group – please give your publication a title and design a first issue front and back cover – you may also need to consider other editorial formats such as contents page. Your publication will be photocopied so please bear this in mind as you design your spreads. Research on different papers and weight required.
Publication: Printed magazine layouts A5 plus digital artwork on CD.
Your CD MUST contain all working files, including final images and fonts used.
